Finnvera successfully launched a 300 million US Dollar floating rate bond

Finnvera launched yesterday on 11 June 2013 a USD 300 million (approx. EUR 226 million) three year floating rate bond transaction. The interest rate and currency risk of the bond is hedged through an interest rate and currency swap transaction. The bond was issued under the EMTN (Euro Medium Term Note) programme.

Finnvera’s EMTN programme and notes issued under it including swap arrangements in connection with bond issues are guaranteed by the State. Finnvera uses the funds for financing the domestic SME sector as well as exports.
