MEE actors at Finland House in St. Petersburg

During summer and autumn 2010, three bodies under the Finnish Ministry of Employment and the Economy (MEE), i.e. Finnvera, Finpro and the Finnish-Russian Chamber of Commerce, whose premises had previously been scattered at different addresses in St. Petersburg, moved into the new Finland House in the very centre of the city. Located at Ul. Bolshaya Konyushennaya 4-6-8, Finland House stands close to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Saint Mary, only a five minutes’ walk from the Nevsky Prospekt metro station.

“Communications among actors within the MEE will improve now that operations are concentrated under the same roof. Together we can also make our customer service more efficient,” says Timo Pietiläinen, Head of Finnvera’s Representative Office in St. Petersburg. “It’s easy for clients to find Finland House in the very centre of the city. At the same time, they save valuable travel time because the main MEE bodies are located in the same building.”

The MEE trio will become a quartet when the innovation centre Finnode moves to Finland House at the turn of next year.

Besides the MEE actors, Finland House has offices, for instance, for the Helsinki Centre, the Jyväskylä Regional Development Company Jykes, Isku, Finnish Railways, Finnair, and Pohjola Bank.
