Short-term export credit insurance market under review

European Commission is seeking information on short term exports credits. Currently a public consultation on the Review of the Communication on short term export credit insurance is underway:

The purpose of this consultation is to invite Member States and stakeholders to provide feedback on the application of the Communication and on export financing in general, with a view to determining whether the Communication (which is due to expire at the end of 2012) should be maintained, modified or expired.

In Finland the Ministry of Employment and the Economy will answer the consultation as a public authority and Finnvera will contribute to this answer. Finnvera and the Ministry invite the stakeholders in Finland to answer this consultation as well. 

Finnvera will also commence a market survey in September concerning the Finnish export credit insurance market. We hope that the stakeholders will have the interest to answer all surveys and thereby get their views expressed.
