Appointments of Directors of Regional Offices

Asko Saarinen, M.Sc. (Technology), eMBA, has been appointed Director of the Jyväskylä Regional Office of Finnvera as of 1 January 2009, when the previous office-holder, Pentti Kokkinen, retired.

Before taking up this post, Saarinen worked as Director of the Seinäjoki Regional Office of Finnvera. He has also served as a corporate analyst in the Regional Offices of Joensuu, Lappeenranta and Jyväskylä and as a development manager in Kuopio.

Kari Hytönen, M.Sc. (Agriculture and Forestry), has been appointed Director of the Seinäjoki Regional Office as of 12 January 2009.

Hytönen started his long banking career as a forestry specialist in the Central Finland Savings Bank in Jyväskylä in 1987. Before taking up employment at Finnvera, he worked as the director responsible for corporate clients at the Nordea Bank branch for Southern Ostrobothnia.

Tarja Eskelinen, LL.M:, has been appointed director of the Kuopio Regional Office as of 16 February 2009.

Eskelinen comes to Finnvera from the post of HR Director of Lujatalo Oy. Before that, she worked as Director of Minna Canth Institute at the University of Kuopio and had a long career in various managerial positions in the banking sector.
