Finnvera continues taking part in financing transactions with Russia

Finnvera continues to provide export credits to hedge against the political and commercial risks in export transaction with Russia. The company can also grant financing to Finnish SMEs for their increased working capital needs due to sudden changes in export volumes to Russia.

The Ukraine crisis has caused uncertainty in the international trade with Russia. Current sanctions have also impacted the operation of international banks providing trade finance. Finnvera monitors closely the situation in Russian markets.

Finnvera abides by the sanctions approved by the EU and assesses possibilities to participate in projects on a case-by-case basis according to normal criteria.

Currently no new guarantees can be provided for export transactions to Ukraine.
