Finnvera’s online services for exporters will be updated on Wednesday 22 May 2024
Published date
Finnvera’s online services for exporters will be updated on Wednesday 22 May 2024. In the update, exporters’ services will be transferred to a new service platform. All of the familiar functions of the old online service will be transferred to the new platform. The update does not affect service logins – signing in to the service is still done through the Suomi.fi identification service. Existing authorisations will remain valid after the update as well.
Good to know about the update
- PDF printouts of applications for export credit guarantees and increases as well as export and delay notifications that have been sent through the old online service will not be transferred to the new online service. Additionally, incomplete applications for export credit guarantees and increases will disappear from the online service during the update. However, Finnvera will continue to store submitted applications and notifications.
- To avoid losing incomplete applications during the update, please ensure that any incomplete applications are finalised and sent to Finnvera by 3 p.m. on Tuesday 21 May 2024 at the latest. Alternatively, it is possible to begin filling out a new application for an export credit guarantee or an increase on the new service platform from Wednesday 22 May 2024 onwards.
- If you wish to keep applications and/or notifications that have already been sent to Finnvera, please download the desired PDF printouts from the online service by 3 p.m. on Tuesday 21 May 2024 at the latest.
- After login, exporters’ services can be found either under Export Services on the online service's front page or under MY INFORMATION / Export guarantee Services and +CREATE NEW / Export guarantee application on the left side of the front page.
- The first step of applying for an export credit guarantee is still defining need, which the online service uses to determine the product/type of the export credit guarantee application (credit risk, receivables purchase, bill of exchange or buyer credit guarantee). After the online service is updated, users will also be able to apply for a new credit limit of an existing continuous export credit guarantee directly from the first step of the export credit guarantee’s needs assessment. The update will make the needs assessment somewhat faster to fill out.
